Peach and Banana Baby Mash

A simple to make baby food with a tropical taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 peach
  • 1/2 ripe banana

Directions:

1. Peel and pit peach.
2. Steam the peach if needed and mash thoroughly.
3. Peel the banana and thoroughly mix through the peach mash.
4. (Optional) Puree if needed for your baby's texture preference.

Ingredients:

  • 1 peach
  • 1/2 ripe banana

Directions:

1. Peel and pit peach then cut into pieces.
2. Pace peach pieces into a freezer bag and freeze overnight.
3. Remove frozen peach pieces from the freezer and add to food processor (or pureeing appliance of choice).
4. Peel banana and add to food processor.

Peach Banana Compote

While this baby food recipe is more complicated and time-consuming than the others, the results are both delicious and nutritious.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of apple juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 4 large peaches (peeled, pitted, quartered)
  • 2 ripe bananas (cut into 1 inch cubes)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt

Directions:

1. Combine apple juice and lemon juice in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer.
2. Turn the heat down until barely simmering and add peach quarters.
3. Cook uncovered for roughly 15 minutes or until the peaches are tender.
4. Remove the pan from the heat and leave the peaches to cool in the apple and lemon liquid 30 minutes.
5. Once cool, remove the peach pieces with a slotted serving spoon and chop into small pieces.
6. Add the peach pieces to bowl with yogurt and banana.
7. Mix the bowl with a fork until desired consistency is reached.
8. Serve to your baby immediately. Freeze any leftovers that won't be eaten the next day. (Makes approx. 3 1/2 cups).

Ingredients:

  • 1 small ripe peach
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon oats (rolled oats for older babies, baby oatmeal for babies just starting solids)

Directions:

Depending on the size of your popsicle mold this will make up to 8 popsicles.

Ingredients:

  • 2 fresh peaches (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup yogurt (all natural)

Directions:

1. Add all ingredients to food processor (or puree appliance of choice).
2. Puree until a smooth consistent texture is achieved.
3. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds.
4. Place into the freezer and freeze overnight.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of peach puree (homemade)
  • 1/2 ripe banana(mashed)

  • 1 cup breast milk (or formula)

Directions:

1. Halve and pit peaches.
2. Cut banana into 1/2 inch chunks.
3. Place banana, peach and 1/2 the cup of breast milk into the food processor or blender.
4. Blend until smooth.
5. Add remaining breast milk and blend for a further minute.
6. (optional) Serve over ice if the weather is hot for a super refreshing baby meal
