Strawberries are one of the most popular fruits around. Tasty, easy to eat and good for you. If you are looking to introduce your baby to the wonderful world of strawberries, you have come to the right place. Strawberry baby food recipes galore.

Remember, always consult with your pediatrician regarding introducing new foods to your baby.

How to prepare strawberries

Removing the stems from strawberries is a simple process and can be easily achieved with something that many families have laying around the house, a rigid drinking straw.

  1. Place the open end of the drinking straw against the pointed base of the strawberry.
  2. Line the straw up with the stem at the top of the strawberry and push through carefully from bottom to top.
  3. When the straw hits the base of the stem gives a harder push. The stem should easily and cleanly pop out.

It may take a few tries to perfect this technique. If you are still struggling then it is possible that the drinking straw is not rigid enough.

If strawberries play a major part of your babies diet then it is not a bad idea to invest in a purpose made strawberry huller.

A strawberry huller is one of the quickest and simplest ways to remove a strawberry stem. I am a huge fan of products that not only make your life easier but are also inexpensive. This fits the bill perfectly and many parents swear by it.
